Playing It By Ear was born out of a shared passion for music and a desire to get more involved with the London music scene. This project acts as a portfolio for both our music journalism and our love for live music coupled with an eagerness to write without honing in on any particular topic, genre or area, but instead just exploring what catches our eye (and ear).

I've been going to gigs since I was 7 years old, and since then, live music has never wavered as my favourite thing in the world.

I don't think there is a feeling that compares to hearing your favourite artists play your favourite songs right in front of you.

I'm so excited to be able to channel all of the thoughts I have about the gigs I go to into one space, and share this journey with Rom as we get to meet emerging artists and support London's indie venues.

I’ve always wanted to find a creative outlet that explores my passion for music while satisfying my compelling desire to write. I have a deep and enduring love for music, particularly the dynamic energy of live events, with a special affinity for Rock, Punk, Indie, and Folk genres. I'm eager to immerse myself in the current music scene and discover the innovative sounds and talents of the new generation.
